Jordan's
photography is a reminder of the pervasiveness of our consumerism.
Collectively, as a culture, Jordan states, "we are committing
a vast and unsustainable act of taking." The reflection of
our consumerism is seen in his large-scale color photography which
become both abstract and detailed as we see the accumulation of
our refuse overtaking even the picture plane. |

“Artists have
a special role to play in the global struggle for peace. At their best,
artists speak not only to people; they speak for them. Art is a weapon against
ignorance and hatred and an agent of public awareness. Art opens new doors
for learning, understanding, and peace among people and nations.”
Kofi Annan, United Nations Secretary-General
