Jordan's photography is a reminder of the pervasiveness of our consumerism. Collectively, as a culture, Jordan states, "we are committing a vast and unsustainable act of taking." The reflection of our consumerism is seen in his large-scale color photography which become both abstract and detailed as we see the accumulation of our refuse overtaking even the picture plane.

Jordan's work will be featured in our upcoming publication, Art into Action.

“Artists have a special role to play in the global struggle for peace. At their best, artists speak not only to people; they speak for them. Art is a weapon against ignorance and hatred and an agent of public awareness. Art opens new doors for learning, understanding, and peace among people and nations.”

Kofi Annan, United Nations Secretary-General
